Radiation Oncologist - Massachusetts General Hospital - Cooley Dickinson Hospital
The Massachusetts General Hospital Department of Radiation Oncology at Cooley Dickinson Hospital seeks to recruit a full-time radiation oncologist to join its physician practice at a full service 140-bed general community hospital in an idyllic New England town, Northampton, Massachusetts, 2 hours from Boston and 3 hours from New York City. As an integral member of Mass General Cancer Services, the Radiation Oncology Department is equipped with a Varian TrueBeam with integrated imaging capabilities, a CT Simulator, and Raystation Treatment Planning. Presently, 30-40 patients are treated per day. The practice has a supportive team of radiation therapists, nurses, medical dosimetrists, physicists, and administrative support staff.
The qualified individual will have strong connections to and enjoy opportunities for collaborative work with members of the Mass General Department based in Boston. Candidates should have an MD degree, training in Radiation Oncology and be Board certified or Board eligible in Radiation Oncology. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully in a multi-disciplinary team are essential qualities.
