  • Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating construction contracts (public-private partnership, design/build agreements, subcontracts, joint venture agreements, design agreements, etc.) according to company policies
  • Working with the legal team and executives to resolve any project specific issues and to provide legal advice
  • Ensuring compliance with contract management procedures; ongoing support on interpretation of contracts. Ensuring compliance with claim management procedures; advising on claims as they arise.
  • Assisting with the development of proposals, including review of Requests for Qualifications/Requests for Proposals
  • Reviewing any adjustments made to contracts and ensuring that the specifications comply with agreements made
  • Maintaining contract information database and file
  • Open and transparent communications with and reporting to General Counsel/SVP
  • Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctorate required
  • 10 years of experience with a minimum of 5 years of experience in contracts and negotiations a must
  • Construction experience required, preferably in-house.
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience in similar industry preferably in construction.
  • Team player with strong communication skills, reporting skills, analytical skills, negotiating skills, and organizational capabilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, and Outlook is required
  • Familiarity with contract documents and/or contract law
  • Must be admitted to State Bar
