- Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating construction contracts (public-private partnership, design/build agreements, subcontracts, joint venture agreements, design agreements, etc.) according to company policies
- Working with the legal team and executives to resolve any project specific issues and to provide legal advice
- Ensuring compliance with contract management procedures; ongoing support on interpretation of contracts. Ensuring compliance with claim management procedures; advising on claims as they arise.
- Assisting with the development of proposals, including review of Requests for Qualifications/Requests for Proposals
- Reviewing any adjustments made to contracts and ensuring that the specifications comply with agreements made
- Maintaining contract information database and file
- Open and transparent communications with and reporting to General Counsel/SVP
- Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctorate required
- 10 years of experience with a minimum of 5 years of experience in contracts and negotiations a must
- Construction experience required, preferably in-house.
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in similar industry preferably in construction.
- Team player with strong communication skills, reporting skills, analytical skills, negotiating skills, and organizational capabilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, and Outlook is required
- Familiarity with contract documents and/or contract law
- Must be admitted to State Bar
