Memorial Rehabilitation Institute provides highly specialized care ranging from complex multiple trauma, stroke and brain injury to physical and speech therapy. Inpatient care is offered at Memorial Regional Hospital South, with outpatient care available in five different locations. We also have a home health team and resources for long-term care at Memorial Manor, while also offering therapy for pediatric developmental diagnosis through Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital.
Summary:
Develops and provides services related to the orientation, continuing education, training, and assessment of clinical staff providing rehabilitative services.
Responsibilities:
Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels.Assists with staffing and oversight of operations.Responsible for oversight and operation of student program for all rehab disciplines.Serves as a resource and mentor to all therapists on or applying to the clinical ladder.Serves as a consultant/mentor for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development. Leads the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.Designs, delivers, and assesses learning activities and curriculums related to clinical competencies, clinical equipment, departmental/organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and the use of clinical information technologies.Collaborates with managers and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies of staff.Participates in the development, coordination, and delivery of new staff orientation and education activities.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required Work Experience: Two (2) years experience as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech-Language Pathologist. Other Information: **Florida state licensure as a Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist or Speech-Language Pathologist.Additional Education Info: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Therapy or related program.Additional Credential Info: Licensure as a Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist or Speech-Language Pathologist.
