What You Will Be Doing Responsible for maintaining existing and developing new applications and architecture based on modern cloud design patterns and cloud software development that utilizes cloud computing and leverages cloud services to drive innovation and increase scalability and performance. Collaborate with other engineers to modernize existing applications and AWS infrastructure, while supporting the existing applications and services. Provide operational assistance to support the larger needs of the organization. Execute in multiple areas of discipline to deliver project objectives within timelines and of high quality.
What You Need for this Position BS in Computer Science or 5+ years of relevant experience
6+ years developing full stack solutions in multiple languages and frameworks
Experience with unit testing across the stack highly desirable
2+ years of development experience within AWS using AWS services and components (S3, EC2, ECS, ECR, lambda, RDS, API Gateway, CloudFront, SQS, OpenSearch, Secrets, etc.)
2+ years development with Angular 7+
Experience with message-based systems and event driven architecture
Experience with API development. Experience with GraphQL a plus
Understanding of how to automate builds from development through production within a CI/CD model
Experience with containerization (docker) is a plus
Knowledge of SQL, and non-relational databases
Knowledge of best practices for IT operations
Exceptional communication skills and ability to communicate appropriately with all levels of the organization
High level of integrity and work ethic
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to translate user/customer requirements into formal specifications and user stories
Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and GIT
Familiar with Agile methodology, practices, and delivery
