What you will do:
We are a beautiful senior community located right next to the East Greenbush YMCA. We are NOT a nursing home...none of our residents need high-level nursing care. However, some of them need a little extra assistance. We provide care in a residential type of setting. Although we can absolutely use these aides/assistants year 'round, we're willing to hire you just for the summer if you're the right person. We will give you on-the-job training and we have various hours and shifts available
Responsibilities
- Care includes assistance with bathing, dressing, housekeeping, laundry, meals, medication management, socialization and working with residents to engage them in activities.
What you will need:
- The ability to lift, push or pull 30 pounds
- Reliable transportation
- Compassion and Patience providing care to the senior population
- You are thinking about a career in health care: perhaps as a nurse, doctor or social worker
- Excellent communication skills
- High School Diploma/GED preferred
