Come join our growing team here at Spencers as a Retail Applications Analyst! As part of the retail application support team, you will be working side by side with our developers and business partners while participating in the support and management of our production applications.
The Retail Applications Analyst will provide administrative services support to associates on various technical issues relating to retail applications. They must have excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose, evaluate and resolve complex situations, or when appropriate, escalate or route them to appropriate staff members. This position will require making changes to configurations and security administration.

Responsibilities
  • Provide application support for Spencer's Retail Applications
  • Handle production outages and issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues at the application and database level
  • Identifying and escalating potential production issues to the appropriate level
  • Manage a queue of incoming service requests and incidents
  • Act as liason between business users and vendor technical support to resolve issues
  • Working knowledge of business processes, system development and process improvements as they relate to retail
  • Ability to quickly analyze, troubleshoot, and problem solve
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate complex information clearly and concisely
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Desire for continued education and the ability to embrace changes in technology and work environment
  • Strong organizational skills including being detail-oriented, highly adaptable, and able to work autonomously
  • Ability to build relationships and work both collaboratively and independently
Knowledge & Experience
  • College/Technical education and or work experience in the IT sector
  • At least 3 years IT/application support required
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience supporting retail solutions
  • Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical personnel
  • Knowledge of any of the following is a strong plus; retail, merchandising, allocation, replenishment, supply chain, planning, purchasing
  • Familiarity with SQL preferred
  • Effective interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgement
