Overview

The Revenue Accountant is responsible for the processing and billing of new orders and renewals. Assists in variety of tasks related to the recording of revenue and deferred revenue, account reconciliations, and variance analysis. A key objective is accuracy and timeliness; directly impacts the reporting of financial information.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform review of contracts for billing and revenue recognition implications
• Create sales orders and generate invoices
• Serve as the primary point of contact for billing inquiries; assist with collection efforts to ensure invoices are paid in a timely manner
• Collaboration with Contracting and Customer Success teams to preserve and improve customer contracts and relationships
• Prepare renewal quotes and generate invoices
• Participate in the monthly closing process to ensure accuracy of revenue recognition; assist in preparing general ledger reconciliations
• Support department business operations, financial processes and improvement/efficiency initiatives
• Represent the Finance and Accounting Department in cross functional projects as needed
• Assist with various ad hoc requests

• BS/BBA in Accounting preferred
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Knowledge of GAAP and software revenue recognition a plus
• ERP systems experience
