Basic Job Functions:

The Revenue Operations Lead will ensure the execution and implementation of commercial systems and activities. This role will perform as the primary administrator for all commercial efforts, ensuring that all sales data and processes are accurate, efficient, and aligned with business goals. This role will be aligned with our Estimating team and will be a leadership position across the full revenue operations value chain. The Revenue Operations Lead oversees a small team that interacts with sales, finance, supply chain, operations, and marketing to track, report, and optimize revenue, cost, and profitability. The Revenue Operations Lead develops price recommendations and establishes cost metrics to ensure compliance with policy and recommends positions for pricing and reimbursement strategies for current and future offerings across all relevant customer and market segments. The role extends to overseeing sales and rebate contracts, sales compensation, and tools. Key considerations for consideration include leadership presence and courage, problem-solving ability, data management and analysis, go-to-market business acumen, professional communication skills, excellent computer skills, and ability to coordinate, organize, and multi-task cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities include

Ability to proactively partner with other leaders to translate business strategy and process requirements to align revenue objectives, streamline processes, and improve sales and profitability.
Improve reporting and visibility across the commercial teams, providing insights and analytics to support strategic planning through established KPIs and metrics.
Evaluate and optimize revenue, profitability, and customer growth.
Provide analysis to understand the performance of market channels or customers, identify opportunities, and make recommendations for improvement.
Develop and implement customer segmentation and GTM sales strategy processes.
Oversee all rebate contracts from inception to annual review in collaboration with Sales Leadership and legal, adjusting calculators and providing necessary training to ensure smooth management of the process from creation to customer payment.
Manage and serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for sales compensation, commissions, and annual incentives across various sales roles, calculators, and systems.
Work closely with the supply chain, operations, finance, and other crucial departments regarding operational and raw materials costs, and understanding their impact on market positioning and pricing solutions.
Responsible for implementation and maintenance of quote, budgeting, and front-end commercial systems.
Create customer feedback loops with internal and external stakeholders to create buy-in across the organization on commercial systems and optimization of the pricing and quoting customer experience
Maintenance and execution of contracted pricing and multi-component pricing models.
Develop and communicate the strategic, financial, and administrative implications of the proposed or implemented pricing policy.
Develop, construct, and guide enterprise strategic decisions around pricing, sales, and profit optimization, data governance, business rules, pricing exceptions, training, and process efficiency.
Identify opportunities for automation and improvement of the sales process through operational excellence.
Monitoring and analyzing competitive activity, customer, and market trends to create actionable solutions or processes.
Work alongside GTM leadership to define marketing and sales goals, and quotas by providing insights and recommendations on performance and trends.
Synthesize external trends with internal data, including material costs, production costs, and prices of products currently on the market.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years prior experience in a sales, finance, or other commercial-related environment
  • Analytical, evaluative, and data-driven mindset
  • Demonstrated understanding of marketing, revenue, and sales processes
  • Microsoft Office proficiency

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in prior experience in a sales, finance, or other commercial-related environment
  • Prior experience with development, implementation, and oversight of strategic revenue programs, processes, enhancements, and tools
  • Prior experience with B2B sales, building products, or manufacturing industry
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, marketing, or other business-related field
  • Advanced data analysis and visualization ability
