Kittrell Job Corps is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse who is looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young individuals. As a Registered Nurse at Kittrell Job Corps, you will be an essential part of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality healthcare services to our students. You will play a crucial role in creating a healthy and supportive environment for their personal and academic growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Healthcare Advocacy: Serve as an advocate for the health and well-being of our students, ensuring that their medical needs are met with compassion and professionalism.
  • Clinical Expertise: Utilize your nursing expertise to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate healthcare services for students, addressing both acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Health Education: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement health education programs, promoting wellness and preventive care among students.
  • Emergency Response: Be a key player in emergency response situations, providing immediate and effective medical care when needed.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and confidentiality standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, counselors, and educators, to provide comprehensive and integrated healthcare services.

    Qualifications

    Responsible for the provision of preventative and emergency health services and wellness education to students. Ensures confidentiality of sensitive information and compliance with all HIPAA laws.

    Minimum of an Associate of Arts degree in nursing. Active, unrestricted license to practice in state where center is located. Three years of health care experience, with at least one year in a supervisory capacity required. Regional approval required.

    May serve as Health & Wellness Director (if allowed under local state practice law). Assists in the supervision and management of the Wellness Services Department and subcontracted wellness services including mental health, dental and medical services.
