ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for a Mental Health Nurse. Your main responsibility will be to the people we serve, ensuring that policies and procedures are followed, and that benchmarks for performance are met in an efficient and effective manner. As such, a high level of communication - and strong relationship building with both internal and external providers and resources will be key to your role.

We serve a unique population of children and adolescents with mental illness diagnosis as well as their families. Our child residential program provides therapeutic support through individual counseling sessions as well as family sessions during the consumer's admission. We also work with our psychiatrist to assure that the correct medications are being utilized based on the consumer's diagnosis and body metrics. We provide referral support for continued behavioral services after the consumer's discharge, to provide a continuity of care.

RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors' of Science Degree in nursing with a minimum of one (1) year of paid behavioral health care experience or a Registered Nurse with a minimum of two (2) years of paid behavioral health care experience. Computer experience preferred
  • Current RN License from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
  • ACT 33/34/73 Clearances
  • Valid Driver License
  • Ability to drive an organization vehicle
  • Pre-Employment Physical/TB
  • Pre-Employment Drug Screen

Work Schedule: This is a Non-Exempt (hourly) position
Wednesday through Sunday 12pm-8pm
On call hours required for this position
