This position is responsible for inventory control in the maintenance shop, as well as receiving and storing parts, maintenance supplies, and miscellaneous receivers while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

This position is also responsible for receiving incoming supplies verifying items received are on the packing slip and reporting any variances to the supervisor. Other responsibilities include: ensure parts are in proper bins with proper minimum maximum levels and that all parts are returned to their proper location; daily inventory inspections to verify part count and report any variances; keep supplies neat and organized and maintain a safe work environment; complete part requisitions and purchase orders deliver plant supplies miscellaneous supplies to appropriate departments daily; assist others in the part room and ensure work is completed accurately and timely; other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: Prior experience preferred.

Computer Skills: Must be able to create Excel Word documents; maintain inventories in the SAP system.

Communication Skills: Fluent English; Ability to communicate with all levels of management and vendors; good telephone skills.

Special Skills: Self - motivated with the ability to learn new concepts and procedures; ability to read and understand manuals and to execute and document work completed on supply invoices; ability and licensed to operate a forklift to unload deliveries.

Physical Requirements: Ability to walk up and down stairs.
