Job Description

The Corporate Routing Specialist develops, structures, and maintains bills of material and routings that are essential to the manufacturing process and for costing purposes. The Corporate Routing Specialist acts as a center of communication between Accounting, Sales, Quality, and Manufacturing. He / she is involved in analysis and reporting activities on a daily basis maintaining a high level of integrity and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Follows procedures to create new item descriptions in an ERP computer system
• Creates bills of materials and routings providing costing information for Sales
• Maintains plant ECR / ECO procedures as related to Bill of Materials and Routings
• Creates cost file information for new items
• Assists the Planner/Schedulers and Production Support Specialists as needed.
• Maintain current customer supplied drawing files at local level.

Qualifications

• Two years secondary education
• Two years production planning experience (Bill/Routing exp preferred)
• Working experience in an ERP computer system preferred
• Proficiency with PC-based software packages and spreadsheets, (Assessments to be conducted)
• Ability to work with multiple schedules and timelines. Ability to multitask is a must
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong analytical and intermediate mathematical skills
• Ability to read and interpret customer part drawings
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• APICS Certification a plus
