Position Overview: This multi-faceted role will be responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing PacificSource employee facility safety programs as well as providing assistance in facility maintenance at our PacificSource locations. Completes general labor duties to include; cubicle installations & reconfiguration & general office repairs. Requires knowledge in general carpentry.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Draft and help facilitate PacificSource facility safety policies and programs
  • Advise and lead employees on various facility safety-related topics such as evacuation plans, workplace safety protocols, etc. through our internal safety SharePoint site, meetings and emails.
  • Prepare educational information for employees related to building safety and help oversee regional safety teams.
  • Maintain and help create facility safety policies and procedures.
  • Work with Human Resources to ensure that new employees have received communication and training during the on-boarding process related to facility safety.
  • Enforce preventative facility safety measures by conducting routine facility inspections
  • Confirm all employees are acting in adherence with PacificSource rules and regulations related to facility safety.
  • Prepare and present reports on any facility accidents and violations and determine causes and remediation.
  • Oversee workplace repair, installations and any other work that could harm employees' safety
  • Provide accurate and timely reports and feedback on all maintenance activities and condition of facilities/repairs.
  • Completing or coordinating the completion of general carpentry repairs when needed.
  • Responsible for Cubicle installations and reconfigurations as needed.
  • Work closely with facilities staff to assist with day-to-day upkeep and repairs of various locations.
  • Communicate with regional locations vendors and property managers to assist with general maintenance issues.
  • Provide maintenance support for PacificSource staff to ensure their work environment is set up according to approved configurations and ergonomics.
  • Interact with all departments and personnel, as needed, including external customers, vendors and consultants.
  • Act as a liaison with other departments and organizations as well as establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors. Willingly collaborates and cooperates with others to accomplish PacificSource goals.
  • Maintain professional service-oriented relationships with users throughout the company.

Supporting Responsibilities:
  • Meet department and company performance and attendance expectations.
  • Follow the PacificSource privacy policy and HIPAA laws and regulations concerning confidentiality and security of protected health information.
  • Travel to other PacificSource locations to perform general facility maintenance and safety inspection.

Work Experience: Minimum of 4 years' experience working with computers with a background in preparing documents and spreadsheets; experience to include 2 years prior maintenance experience or general contractor labor experience in a commercial office setting.

Education, Certificates, Licenses: High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Valid driver's license is required. Good driving record and insurability is required.

Knowledge: Microsoft Word and Excel skills are essential to success in this position. Requires excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work closely with others as well as independently. Solid judgment and strong attention to detail is important. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required for working with staff and vendors. Requires knowledge in spreadsheet creation, graphing, general math skills. The ability to manage multiple tasks at one time is important to success in this role. Requires general knowledge in carpentry, mechanical, doors and cabinets, furniture, minor electrical repairs, HVAC and any other components making up the physical locations at PacificSource. Must be able to read and understand blueprints and specifications. Requires the ability to accomplish tasks under pressure and determine priorities. Must be able to organize work for top efficiency. Environment: Work inside with occasional outside work in a general office setting with ergonomically configured equipment. Travel is required approximately 25% of the time.

Physical Requirements: Stoop and bend. Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time while performing core job functions. Repetitive motions to include typing, sorting and filing. Light lifting and carrying of files and business materials. Ability to read and comprehend both written and spoken English. Communicate clearly and effectively.
