What You Will Be Doing "Contact and establish a rapport with customer, injured employee or medical provider on new worker compensation and general liability claims.
"Document all initial case information in Company database in a timely manner.
"Obtain and document relevant and material facts to determine coverage and compensability for claims brought against the Company.
"Determine and analyze benefits owed under various state workers compensation laws.
"Utilize and manage experts to gather evidence and estimate exposure.
"Work with Director of Safety to negotiate settlements based upon strategies and tactics that ensure appropriate and fair settlement of the claims.
"Determine and pursue subrogation and other offsets that can mitigate loss.
"Ensure Company remains in compliance with statutes and regulations of state workers compensation regulatory agencies and departments of insurance.
What You Need for this Position "3-5 Year experience investigating and adjusting claims, for either insurance carrier or private business operation, or equivalent transferable skills.
"Familiar with the legal process and litigation.
"Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
"Strong oral and written communication skills
"Ability to work independently and as part of a team
"Excellent technical skills in Word and Excel
