Job Title: Sales Analyst - Home Depot

Location: Vernon Hills, IL

Department: CBG Sales

Reports To: Greg Macri - National Sales Manager - Home Depot

Direct Reports/Manages others: No

Hybrid Schedule: Our hybrid work environment includes two (2) remote days/week.

JOB PURPOSE:

The Sales Analyst- Home Depot will support National Account Executive to drive new business opportunities and assist in managing daily business with Home Depot through an analytical and fact-based approach to sales trends and inventory analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Product Category Responsibilities Include: Home Depot D24 (Paint Department) - Class 22 (Primers), Class 34 (Cleaners), Class 35 (Patch & Repair), D26 - Plumbing (Roto Rooter) and Tool Rental Center

Update weekly forecasting file

  • Convert weekly forecasting files provided by Home Depot into DCs by month
  • Call out variances from previous weeks and from actual purchases
  • Track against actual purchases and PY purchases
  • Summarize items with significant changes
Weekly new item POS tracking
  • Report weekly on new items and performance against projected sales
  • Review Rust-Oleum free stock vs rate of sale and production to ensure 100% fill
Zero Sales reports on top selling skus and promo wings tacks
  • Report on zero sales or low WOS by region.
  • Communicate wing stack zero sales to CDS to they can ensure promo wing stack has been placed on the sales floor
Management of Class specific Promo Events
  • Communicate wing stacks that need to be added to Promo Tracker with sku detail, DC splits, and ship dates
  • Coordination with Customer Service and DCs regarding shipping dates and additional instructions once orders are in house
  • Notify Customer Service when orders need to be delivered (multiple ship dates need to be managed)
  • Follow up with DCs to make sure POs are marked RTS before required date and time
  • Confirm all orders have shipped on required dates
Promo Event Sales Tracker
  • Bi-Weekly POS report
  • Providing % of sell through during the event
Primary Point of Contact for EPOP
  • Responsible for maintaining on-line POP system with HS
  • Coordinating with Marketing new item set up
  • Handles all store requests and problems regarding EPOP
Assists NSM on day-to-day operations
  • Helping respond to numerous inquiries, daily email calls from Home Depot Merchants, Merchant Assistants, and IPR team analysts
  • AMT maintenance
  • Home Depot Dashboard review
    • Rate of sale, WOS, store counts, and trends (including weather)
  • Tracking performance of new programs
  • Process RCCW files, help manage price increases and cost outs
  • Store RTVs/Buybacks
  • Communicate forecast changes
  • VOC deep dives to ensure non-compliant product was not activated in error
  • MST/CET Requests - Store requests for changes to assortments or program expansions
  • New sku set up
    • Gather all needed information on new items to begin IDM process
    • Complete new item sheet up sheet with correct naming and subclass info
  • Maintaining skus lists
  • Maintaining Tint Data Base
    • Adding new formulas
    • Reviewing Bad Formula reports weekly
    • Notify marketing of any major discrepancies
  • Assists with resets/refreshes/ new program launches
    • Building store assortments
    • Building host orders
    • Organizing POP shipments to CDS or DCs (liners, color chips, brochures, ect)
    • Working orders internally to need ship dates and ensure Customer Service and DCs are following shipping requirements.
  • Emergency Response
    • Less than 24 Hour turnaround of emergency orders to impacted areas of the country.
    • Would require processing orders with customer, working with RO DC's for quick turn around and routing with the customer to ship orders for immediate delivery.
Support Field Sales Team Audits and MET Projects
  • Cleaning up store audit file and addressing any concerns with store configurations
  • Provide reset waves, stores list and new skus based off host build files
  • Communicate buyback information when needed
Assist with major empty can projects
  • Determine empty can order needs for SMM
  • Help assemble large orders for shipment
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 4 years of related sales analytics experience
  • Strong analytic and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to manage a team by example setting direction, goals, and deadlines
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel
