Purpose:

The Salesforce Product Owner will leverage their knowledge of Salesforce.com to actively engage with our various business functions. In this role, you will be crucial in crafting new capabilities within SFDC to enhance sales performance within our rapidly expanding and forward-thinking Sales Enablement organization. This role is critical in ensuring the effective utilization of Salesforce to drive sales efficiency, improve data accuracy, and enhance overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage user accounts, profiles, roles, and permissions within the Salesforce platform.
  • Owns team backlog(s).
  • Defines iterations and stories.
  • Contributes to vision, roadmap, ROI.
  • Accepts iteration increments.
  • Heavily involved in program backlog refinement and prep for Program Increment planning; also plays a significant role in the planning event itself.
  • Reviews and reprioritizes the backlog as part of the prep work for Iteration Planning, including coordinating dependencies with other POs.
  • Validates the story meets acceptance criteria, has the appropriate, persistent acceptance tests, and otherwise complies with its Definition of Done (DoD). In so doing, the PO also assures a level of quality, focusing primarily on fitness for use.
  • Understands the scope of the upcoming enabler work and collaborates with System and Solution Architects/Engineering to assist with decision-making and sequencing of the critical technological infrastructures that will host the new business functionality.
Data Management and Quality Assurance:
  • Implement data governance policies and procedures to maintain data integrity within Salesforce.
  • Oversee data import, deduplication, and cleanup efforts to ensure the accuracy and completeness of sales and customer data.
  • Regularly audit Salesforce data to identify and address data quality, consistency, and completeness issues.
Salesforce Optimization and Best Practices:
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize Salesforce configuration and workflows to improve sales team productivity and efficiency.
  • Stay abreast of new Salesforce features and best practices, recommending their adoption to enhance business processes and drive results.
  • Provide training and support to sales and marketing teams on Salesforce usage, best practices, and new features.
Reporting and Analytics:
  • Develop and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and analytics within Salesforce to provide actionable insights into sales performance, pipeline health, and customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and build reports to track progress against sales objectives.
User Support and Training:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Salesforce-related inquiries and support requests from sales and marketing teams.
  • Develop and deliver training programs and materials to educate users on Salesforce functionality, processes, and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience administering Salesforce, with a strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, data model, and security model.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification (ADM 201) or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Salesforce Lightning Experience
  • 1+ years of experience working in the Agile Framework (preferably in a Product Owner role).
  • Familiarity with sales and marketing processes and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, translating business requirements into technical solutions.
