JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB SUMMARY:

• To understand and become familiar with the company's policies and procedures and total commitment to its Customers, Environment, and Regulatory Requirements.
• To contribute to (not to impede) the Quality Success of the Company.
• To participate in continuous improvement programs for achieving Company's goals and objectives.
• To recommend solutions and take initiative to correct problems, through designated channels, to prevent their re-occurrence.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To set up and adjust seamers to correctly seam all sizes and gauge combinations of drums.
• To make sure automatic "head up" equipment is functioning properly.
• To place heads and bottoms in carts in best position for feeding.
• To change over chucks and seaming rolls to seam drums to daily scheduled requirements.
• To ensure glue and oilers are operating correctly at all times with glue/oil always being applied onto the correct part of the drum end.
• To cut drum seams on every order greater than 176 drums or on any new set ups, examine seam configuration and adjust as required. Retain and record chime cuts for quality inspection.
• To change seam rolls when worn and wash worn rolls to prepare them for re-work. Clean machinery and equipment. Report any equipment problems.
• To fill out production reports as required.
• To inspect interior lining before seaming.
• To keep workstation clean and tidy.
• Will participate in Mauser Quality Program. Will identify problems and offer to help solve them.
• To carry out other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
• Will assist the company in maintaining and improving efficiencies.
• Will assure all Quality requirements are met.
• Will participate in Lean and MPS initiatives.
