Senior Analyst - Renewable Energy Credit

Purpose

This role will help manage renewable origination efforts by providing technical and logistical support to renewable origination team in order for Avangrid Renewables to better serve their customers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage operational aspects of the company's REC portfolio across the company's national footprint. Ensure administration, inbound logistics, outbound logistics, customer service, tracking, and reporting for REC activity is executed timely and accurately. Lead internal process improvement projects, consult with internal and external stakeholders, coordinate third-party audits, and support new transaction execution.
  • Coordinate with REC Trader(s) to ensure timely and accurate performance on REC contracts.
  • Coordinate with Origination team to support contract review and new transaction execution.
  • Ensure accurate tracking of RECs and Capacity Attributes in Aligne and other enterprise systems.
  • Respond to due diligence requests from internal and external auditors. Coordinate Green-e Audit response.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support new and continuing RPS certification of renewable facilities.
  • Act as company administrator and subject matter expert on REC tracking systems.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Consult with internal stakeholders on communication requirements to protect REC value.
  • Adhere to effective internal controls.

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree + at least 5 years' directly relevant experience in energy; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • General understanding of energy industry.
  • Experience with or understanding of financial analysis and ability to understand context of transactions.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and other MS Office software programs.
