Senior API Developer

Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). Ideal candidates will live in the state of Georgia within 50 miles of one of our PulsePoint locations.

The Senior API Developer is r esponsible for the delivery of end to end system development and maintenance on complex technology systems within assigned client group, business unit or corporate department. The Solutions Lead is responsible for full delivery of end to end system development and maintenance on medium Enterprise wide technology platforms.

How you will make an impact:

  • Developments medium to large complex customer technology platforms or architectures.
  • Maintains active relationships with internal and/or external stakeholder to develop business requirements.
  • Analysis and classifies complex change request and identify system code enhancements.
  • Provides lights on support for the applications.
  • Works with architects to address technical debt to improve application security,
  • Review performance, scalability and reliability of the application
  • Works with DevOps team to improve the application infrastructure.
  • Collaborates with engineers and graphic designers, analyzes, and classifies complex change request, reviews, and evaluates possible enhancements.
  • Leads the efforts for development teams to develop and define application scope and objectives and prepare functional and/or technical specifications.
  • Analyzes and evaluates detailed business and technical requirements.
  • Interacts with business partners, IT partners, vendors, clients and other stake holders to discuss solution, troubleshoot issues and solve problems.
  • Understands the product and analytics and drive requirements that take into account stakeholders needs.
  • Identifies problems/risks.
  • Codes and maintains complex components of information systems.
  • Mentors others on coding standards and performs code reviews.
  • Reviews test cases and advises QA on adjacent code/regression impact.
  • Develops and performs system testing and fixes defects identified during testing and re-executes unit tests to validate results.
  • Aids in integrating activities with other IT departments for successful implementation and support of project efforts.
  • Provides on call support and monitors the system and identifies system deficiencies.
  • Ability to be hands-on on with AWS, Node and APIGEE
  • Ability to debug issues related to application, network, security, performance and provide input to dev team
  • Produce physical architecture diagrams and recommend feasible improvements
  • Work effectively with Dev team to come up to have a good backlog of tech debt features to improve application
  • Coach and train Dev leads
  • Savvy with industry standards, design principles, new technologies in the market
Minimum Qualifications:

Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 3 years experience on one platform, multi database, multi language or multi business application; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences
  • Experience mentoring others, leading large projects and providing troubleshooting support preferred
  • Having an agile mindset and experience in Agile methodology preferred
  • 5+ years of API microservices development & management experience preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in Mulesoft Anypoint/ Node JS to create and consume apis preferred
  • 3+ years of experience with AWS cloud preferred
  • Experience in performance tuning, CI/CD pipeline, Splunk/Kibana, caching tools & databases preferred
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect is preferred
