To help realize this goal, they are leveraging visual analytics platforms to analyze, visualize, and share information. At steampunk you will design and develop on a next-generation Visual Analytics and Collaboration suite.
Contributions

  • Develops strategies for warehouse implementation, data acquisition and access, and data archiving and recovery.
  • Designs and builds relational databases for data storage and processing.
  • Designs and implements Data Lake architectures, data source validation, data augmentation, data fusion, and data utilization metrics collection and reporting. Evaluates new data sources for adherence to organization's quality standards and ease of integration.
  • Builds data models and defines the structure, attributes, and nomenclature of data elements.
  • Designs large scale Data architectures with Data Dictionaries, Data Repositories, Data Governance, Big Data Systems, System Latency, Data Recovery, Disaster Recovery, Publish and Subscribe, Representational State Transfer, File Transfer, Data Lakes, and Chain of Custody of Data.
  • Deploys large scale data architectures to include use of Data Lakes, chunking, large file shares, or increased time limits due to lack of quick and large storage; uses serverless computing like Athena/Lambda to handle concurrency, or increased time limits due to lack of infrastructure; and uses extract, transform, load, standard data formats, or parsing due to lack of infrastructure.
  • Designs and provides oversight of manual review data and machine learning models.
  • Experience executing in an Agile, DevSecOps environment highly desired. Experience in cloud (AWS, Azure, GCS) system implementations highly desired.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in one or more of the disciplines associated with data analytics.
  • 5+ years of experience with working closely with business and IT groups to coordinate current and future plans and activities, including coordination and technical assistance to facilitate specific data analytics.
  • 5+ years of experience possessing and applying comprehensive knowledge across multiple fields, key tasks components, and high impact assignments.
  • 5+ years of experience developing plans and leading major consulting assignments that include data analytics with machine learning and artificial intelligence.
  • 2+ years of in-depth knowledge of at least one analytical/statistical language (Closure, Scala, Python, R)
  • Experience in Data Lake architecture, data source validation, data augmentation, data fusion, and data utilization metrics collection required
  • Experience using Agile and DevSecOps methods and techniques desired
  • Experience with Cloud-based solution implementation preferred
  • Must have, or be eligible to obtain, Government security clearance minimally at the Public Trust level
  • Must meet U.S. residency requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a relevant discipline is required.
  • A combination of experience and education exceeding the degree/education requirements may be considered based on demonstrated experience and certification(s).
  • A graduate degree in Mathematics or Statistics is desired.
