Essential Functions and Primary Duties

• Oversee the investment activities in the defined contribution group, including the management of the core investment list and the due diligence process
• Manage the output of the research process: write ups, quantitative reports, qualitative commentaries
• Contribute to improving the team with constructive ideas on system efficiency
• Perform investment research in conjunction with the broader research team
• Prepare and present investment-related topics to the relevant investment committees
• Support the defined contribution practice by providing thought leadership specific to the industry. Knowledge of ERISA, regulatory guidelines from the Department of Labor, and investment products specific to the defined contribution industry is a must
• Assumes accountability for the team's output through sound management of investment process and of team members. Provide leadership, conflict resolution, and mentoring to staff
• Communicate with clients as needed and with the investing public through webinars, panels, and presentations
• Additional responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree

Qualifications Required

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Over 8 years' experience in area of expertise with increasing complexity
• At least 7 years' experience managing and leading multiple functions and highly technical staff
• Must maintain current required licenses and certifications relevant to field of expertise
• Demonstrate industry experience; product knowledge, proposal process, underwriting, regulatory trends, and presentations skills
• Proficient use of applicable technology
• Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
• Expert knowledge of state and federal legislation and regulations impacting discipline
• Expertise in managing clients
• Advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills
