Kforce has a well-established and growing client that is seeking a Senior or Principal Electronic Design Engineer in the NW Phoenix, Arizona (AZ). We are working directly with the Hiring Manager on this exclusive search assignment. The company offers a competitive compensation package including, base salary, aggressive annual bonus plan, 4 weeks of PTO, 401K matching, etc. This position is partial remote.Summary:The Senior Electronic Design Engineer will be responsible for architecture/design, development, deployment, and maintenance of electrical and electronic hardware products. These products include internet-connected components as well as systems which consist of multiple mechanical/electrical/firmware and software components which must work together seamlessly. This position requires close collaboration and cooperation with mechanical, electrical, firmware, and Software Engineers to develop solutions with an emphasis on simplicity and time-to-market.Responsibilities:
  • The Senior Electronic Design Engineer will architect, design, develop, debug, deploy, and maintain electrical and electronic hardware for new and existing Company products
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to design and develop high quality, highly reliable, easily maintainable hardware/systems with an emphasis on simplicity and time-to-market
  • Develop thorough design documentation
  • As a Senior Electronic Design Engineer, you will develop and execute test procedures
  • Provide support for internal and external customers


  • BSEE or similar field is preferred
  • At least 6 to 12+years of Electrical Engineering experience
  • Knowledge of electrical, electronic engineering design principles
  • Skilled in analog/digital circuit design and analysis
  • PCB design experience using Altium or other similar CAD Software
  • Knowledge of low-power real-time embedded system design is a plus
  • Knowledge of digital communication hardware and protocols such as any of the following (UART, SPI, I2C, IrDA, USB, Wi-Fi, RFID, TCP/IP)
  • Design for Manufacturability and Assembly experience. Proven track record of taking designs through manufacturing
  • Strong design and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to prepare and verify detailed calculations, specifications, and analysis
  • Experience developing electrical hardware in a cross-functional team
  • Strong communication and strong, logical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and activities
  • Ability to successfully complete projects/sub-projects within agreed upon deadlines
Nice to Haves but not required:
  • Encryption hardware experience
  • Commercial or Consumer electro-mechanical products
  • Knowledge of rechargeable battery technologies and power supply design
  • RF circuit design and FCC/IC experience
  • Knowledge of software development models and project management techniques
  • Experience in Waterfall and/or Agile NPD processes
  • Experience with (10K to 100K EAU) user friendly products from concept through product launch; IIoT/IoT products are a plus but not required
