Job Description

GPI is seeking a Senior Highway Design Engineer for our Buffalo, NY office. The successful individual will perform highway design tasks on a variety of bridge and highway projects.

Responsibilities:

• Experience with designing and/or supervising all aspects of highway design
• Provide project oversight and design for plan production, 3D design, quantity and cost calculations
• Prepare project specifications
• Develop design solutions for complex projects
• Proficiency in highway design and analyses, with experience utilizing software applications (e.g. MicroStation, Inroads, etc.) with minimal to no guidance

• BS in Civil Engineering with emphasis on highway design
• 10+ years' experience working on NY highway projects preferred
• NY Professional Engineering License required
• Experience working on NYSDOT and LAFA projects
• Experience with Traffic Modeling (preferred)

• Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration
• Read, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English language
• Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails, and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members
