The Senior Marketing Manager, Patient Marketing will be responsible for the strategic planning and tactical execution for our consumer marketing plans. Key areas of focus for this role include the following: understanding key consumer and market insights, developing a comprehensive patient-facing marketing strategy and tactics with clear performance metrics, leading consumer digital strategy, and integration with HCP marketing.

This position will report directly into the marketing team, and will work in close partnership with marketing colleagues across the entire team.

This position is based at our Gaithersburg, MD campus, headquarters.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop consumer/patient marketing strategy, tactical planning, and execution
  • Help to identify unmet needs throughout patient treatment journey and collaborate cross-functionally to develop impactful solutions to patients
  • Facilitate development and execution of unbranded initiatives to support patient/caregiver education
  • Translate the brand science and strategy into consumer-friendly terms in an effort to make a positive impact on patients' lives
  • Lead partner agency relationships, workflow and related expense budgets
  • Establish and report on consumer marketing critical metrics
  • Lead development and evolution of CRM strategy and program execution for patients
  • Build alliances with internal team members such as Patient Advocacy, Business Insights and Analytics, Corporate Affairs, Brand Team, Payer Access Strategy members to help with cross-functional planning and to ensure a strong, evidence-based approach to support the delivery of consumer materials
  • Partner closely with agency to ensure efficient delivery of consumer deliverables, including efficient workflows and impactful, insights-driven content
  • Ensure legal/regulatory compliance and medical accuracy of all marketing materials

Qualifications
  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
  • 3-5 years of experience in driving Direct-to-Consumer creative campaigns and media strategies
  • Prior commercial experience with consumer or HCP marketing experience in pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry with experience in one or more of the following: consumer marketing, HCP marketing, new product planning, brand marketing, sales, or market research/analytics, strategic planning

Preferred qualifications
  • MBA
  • Oncology, rare disease or specialty care experience highly preferred
  • Understanding of U.S. Oncology landscape including Community Oncology and Hospital Oncology dynamics, GPOs, Payer landscape, Specialty Pharmacy partners
  • Marketing experience (developing brand strategy, performing positioning, messaging, segmentation, targeting, leading ad agency, providing direction on annual budget planning)
  • Experience across multiple promotional channels (Personal, Non-Personal and Digital, Patient marketing)
  • Product launch experience
