The IT Product Management organization at NI is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Product Owner (PO) to lead the Marketing IT product team. The PO is responsible for developing and managing the product vision, strategy, and roadmap of IT solutions delivered by the Marketing IT development team. The PO provides leadership and direction to the team, serving as the decision maker for what capabilities to build and advocating for the user perspective throughout the process.

As a leader for Marketing IT, the PO will drive compelling technology solutions which drive customer experiences, enhance productivity for users within NI's Marketing organization and support the overall success of Marketing strategies. The PO will partner with business stakeholders to research and understand their needs, define key user experiences, and collaborate closely with the development team to bring the product vision to life. They will also closely monitor key metrics to ensure their solutions are meeting intended goals and find ways to continuously make improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the product vision and strategy for Marketing IT. Communicate and promote the vision with key stakeholders and the development team to ensure understanding and alignment to meeting goals.

  • Understand stakeholder needs through qualitative and quantitative data. Maintain deep business and process knowledge to map touchpoints, personas, and necessary product capabilities.

  • Create and manage a product roadmap through collaboration with the Marketing business team, Marketing IT development team, and partner IT teams to establish timelines, priorities, and goals for improvements to the product. Balance time-to-market with customer, business, and technology needs.


  • Perform market analysis to understand industry-leading technologies and how other companies are performing in this space.


  • Drive decomposition of business outcomes and capabilities into a prioritized product backlog that represents the work of the product team.


  • Develop and track KPIs to measure progress toward product goals and outcomes.

  • Monitor, prioritize, and act upon user feedback.

  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders across NI on product performance and champion the results of the team.


  • Basic Requiirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a product owner, product manager, or equivalent role working in an Agile environment

  • High accountability and drive for results and ability to successfully solve complex problems and make decisions

  • Data driven and analytical - Must be able to evaluate data and reach sound conclusions to drive priority of work

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership

  • Able to manage expectations across a broad set of stakeholders and prioritize the highest value items through clear understanding of outcomes and trade-offs

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team, and influence across teams cross-functional and/or global teams to work together across organizational boundaries

  • A strong motivation for continuous learning and growth, constantly keeping up with current industry trends and processes

  • Embrace change and ambiguity through an Agile/growth mindset


  • A passion for customer success and keeping a customer-centric mindset at all times, especially when faced with challenging decisions


  • Familiarity with Agile principles and processes and experience working with a development team to deliver software-based capabilities


  • Preferred

  • Experience working directly in or with Marketing teams supporting the following areas:
  • In-person and virtual event management

  • Prospect segmentation and database management

  • Customer journey orchestration and campaign activation

  • Marketing channel attribution, analytics, and reporting

  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (including Pardot) and Salesforce Sales Cloud
