Law360 is seeking a senior reporter to cover federal appellate courts. This reporter will write regular news analyses and features focusing on developments in the U.S. federal circuit courts, with a special focus on rulings affecting appellate practice and brewing circuit splits that might eventually need to be resolved by the U.S. Supreme Court. This reporter will be expected to develop a deep understanding of the beat and a reliable roster of sources.
- At least two years of full-time, paid reporting experience
- Demonstrated reporting and writing skills
- Experience covering appellate courts and rulings
- Experience reporting for a legal audience
- Experience working a beat
Qualified candidates will be asked to complete writing and reporting tests electronically.
Law360 offers extensive training on legal topics. Business or legal reporting experience is not required. However, professional reporting experience and strong writing and analytical skills are required to succeed in this job.
