 SAIC is seeking experienced Senior System Administrator to support a program with direct impact to our country’s national security.  This position is located in Fort Meade, MD.  The position requires an active/current TS/SCI security clearance with Full Scope Polygraph and be willing and able to pass an additional polygraph as needed.

The selected candidate will be responsible for providing support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems. Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.

Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems.

• Communicate written and verbal information in a timely, clear, and concise manner.
• Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
• Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

An associate’s degree and four (4) years of experience working on operating systems such as Windows and Linux as a systems administrator.

• Requires DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level I OR Level II certification, and Computing Environment (CE) Certification. The CE certification requirements can be fulfilled with either Microsoft OS, Cent OS/Red Hat OS CE certifications.
• Three (3) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for an associate’s degree.
