RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client, a global publicly traded Manufacturing and Semiconductor Technologies Company is seeking a Senior Technical Accountant in Tewksbury, Massachusetts (MA). This is an opportunity to join a global dynamic organization that will partner across various areas of finance. This is a hybrid role on-site two days week (3 days/week remote).Summary:The Senior Technical Accountant will report to the Director of Accounting and will support technical accounting issues including complex transactions, M&A activities, accounting/GAAP research, equity/investments, SEC support, and special projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a public accountant transitioning out of Big 4 or national CPA firm and into industry.Main Duties:- The Senior Technical Accountant will assist with Research accounting and financial reporting requirements
- Assist with various complex accounting transactions (revenue, M&A, GAAP compliance, etc.)
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements
- Assist in the preparation and review of SEC and governmental filings
- Assist with SOX compliance
- As a Senior Technical Accountant, you will maintain GAAP and new policies and procedure
- Participate in system improvements/enhancements
- Other special projects as necessary
REQUIREMENTS:
- B.S. degree in Accounting
- 2-4 years of experience in Big 4 public accounting (or experience with publicly traded clients in public accounting) or a CPA
- Experience with technical accounting and SOX
- Knowledge of GAAP
- Strong Excel skills
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
