The Shift Charge Nurse has authority, responsibility, and accountability to provide clinical and administrative leadership on her/his shift.
This position reports to the Nurse Manager/Director and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required; BSN preferred
- Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse (RN) required
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification required
- Three (3) years current experience in relevant clinical specialty required. Current experience must be within two years of hire into the Shift Charge position
- Demonstrated excellent leadership skills and clinical competence in area of responsibility required
- Additional unit-specific education requirements are outlined in the Addendum for each unit
