Sr. Business Analyst

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with experience in incident management and supporting complex applications within the banking sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various Software Development Methodologies, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in SQL and PL SQL. The Senior Business Analyst will play a crucial role in translating customer business needs into application and operational requirements, participating in all stages of the development lifecycle, and providing ad hoc support as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead both on and off-hours ad hoc support teams for incident management.
• Provide support for complex applications, including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Utilize various Software Development Methodologies such as Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall, etc.
• Build, write, and execute test cases using tools like JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.
• Create process flows in Visio to document and visualize business processes.
• Communicate effectively verbally and in technical writing to all levels of the organization.
• Interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
• Apply root cause analysis to discover requirements and resolve issues.
• Prioritize work by managing current project workload and ongoing support tasks effectively.
• Adapt to changes in processes, procedures, and priorities efficiently.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and understanding of business processes.
• Analyze workflows and identify unique characteristics for each workflow.
• Participate in every stage of the development lifecycle, adhering to current System Development Methodology (SDM) processes.
• Collaborate closely with project teams, business unit representatives, and technical staff members, facilitating communication among all parties.

Required Experience:

• Proficiency in writing SQL and PL SQL queries.
• Experience with payments platforms, specifically in Wires (nice to have).
• Banking experience, particularly in ACH/Wire, is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) are a plus.
