The Sr. Manager, Operations Data Platform, is responsible for managing the SAP ERP data as part of the larger operations data platform. The role entails developing and implementing systematic policies and executing data management by harmonizing inputs from various data sources for effective system operations. They will partner with multiple business functions to create and manage data governance rules, product attributes, and related system and process enhancements in SAP, APS, and other enterprise applications. They will champion for continuous improvement and develop tools, processes, and documentation to standardize and improve governance and system data integrity. The candidate will have a creative blend of program management, SAP MDM, and holistic systems and supply chain business operations.

This position is part of the Business Solutions team and will be located in Sunnyvale, CA as a HYBRID role (on-site 3 days/wk.). At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Partner with various business functions to implement data quality management throughout the product lifecycle. Identify and scope opportunities to improve operational efficiencies, improve quality, and implement scalable solutions.
  • Manage, monitor, and improve completion of SAP configuration and data quality in accordance with requirements from multiple systems and business partners.
  • Establish, and update data governance policies and processes to ensure consistency, correctness, scalability, and the on-going maintenance of master data elements across the business and functional processes.
  • Identify and drive system and process improvements and enforce best practices.
  • Contribute and collaborate on the overall data platform policies, design, and roadmap.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related degrees and prefer a minimum of 9 years of ERP experience, with a focus on master data, system configuration, and/or product management.
  • Prefer 3 or more years of experience with Data Governance or Data Quality programs.
  • Prefer 3 or more years designing scalable cross-application master data architecture in ERP or database design.
  • Prefer 5 or more years of project or product management experience.
  • Prefer 2 or more years of management experience.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related degrees
  • Experience with SAP, S/4 Hana, Camstar, Agile, Oracle Cloud, or Winshuttle Evolve
  • Experience working in manufacturing and/or highly regulated environments

This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement in which you can work part of the time at the Company location identified above and part of the time remotely from your home. The salary range for this role is $133,000 - $183,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
