Job Description

Position Overview

The Senior Manager of Oracle Systems delivers leadership, technical expertise, and business driven results. Reporting to the Director of Oracle Systems, they lead employees and managed service providers who deliver high quality and reliable Oracle solutions to drive growth, improve performance, satisfy customers, and ensure regulatory compliance for SubCom. This is a role for an IT leader who considers themselves a businessperson with a strong technical skill set and a "hands-on" team player.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining and supporting SubCom's Oracle E-Business suite including Financials, Logistics, Procurement, Manufacturing and Human Capital Management as well as the business teams that utilize these modules.
  • Oversee the maintenance and support of cloud services used for hosting Oracle E-Business suite which includes managing production, test, and quality instances. Ensuring the managed service providers are properly securing the systems, monitoring, and managing system backups, system upgrades and testing.
  • Proactively monitor and maintain Oracle application performance, performance monitoring, value optimization, and monthly reporting on Oracle Systems performance through SLAs, KPIs, and other metrics.
  • Manage and budget for Oracle IT service providers and vendors. Manage contracts and contracted personnel. Set performance goals through SLAs, KPIs, and defined technical and financial performance metrics with monthly report-outs.
  • Ensure Oracle regulatory compliance, collecting evidence of compliance and supporting audits of all Oracle Systems, Procedures, and business processes.
  • Lead Oracle implementation projects to ensure the projects are delivered On-Time, OnBudget and properly Resourced. Ensuring weekly project communication to the business and IT. Daily reporting of any issues or roadblocks. Document project charters to define project scope, resources, deliverables, and ROI.
  • Work with the Director of Oracle Systems and CIO to define and document IT strategy around Oracle Systems and Cloud infrastructure, including project prioritization, timelines, budgets, ROI, and deliverables.
  • Provide On-call after-hours and weekend support as needed on an emergency basis
Qualifications
  • Requires a bachelor's degree with 10 years relevant experience. Master's degree in business preferred.
  • Experience leading Oracle project implementations, managing diverse teams with varying levels of business and technical skills using direct and indirect influence to deliver on time and on budget.
  • Ability to define and articulate IT goals and set standards that align with the company's strategic business objectives and translate them into operational and tactical deliverables by the team.
  • Operational understanding of IT technology, financials, and budgeting, including technical knowledge of Oracle systems, support, and design.
  • Experienced in implementing, upgrading, and providing day-to-day support for EBS systems within large enterprise environments.
  • Experienced in planning, execution of Disaster Recovery exercises and failover activities for Oracle EBS Application and Database.
  • Knowledge of Oracle EBS R12 components and architecture as well as Oracle Cloud.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate priorities, document procedures, architectures, and services. Ability to articulate thoughts and ideas clearly, concisely, and persuasively.
  • Interpersonal skills to build and maintain rapport, confidence and influence with customers, peers, and teammates both in person and remotely. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Work with the Oracle Systems team to identify and remediate flaws and inefficiencies in team processes and documentation.
