Location/Division Specific Information:

The Environmental and Process Monitoring (EPM) Business Unit (BU) is a leader in the development of air quality and process monitoring solutions that ensure worker health, cleaner air, and increased customer efficiency.

Location: Onsite at Franklin, MA

Position Summary:

The Senior Manager of Marketing and Product Management will be part of the EPM BUs extended leadership team with responsibility for our Process Monitoring portfolio which includes process mass spectrometers and electronic flow meter products. You will drive the global product line strategies, product life cycle management, VOC activities, defining market requirements and developing growth opportunities in new and existing segments of interest.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full business ownership / accountability for delivering financial results for the process monitoring portfolio
  • Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitive strategy, and find opportunities for increasing customer and business value through product differentiation
  • Lead new product development including voice of customer research, defining critical customer and product requirements with prioritized features and corresponding business and financial justification with return on investment
  • Serve as product champion with internal partners, regional teams, and directly with key accounts. An effective performer will maintain close interaction with field organization (e.g., sales and technical support) through training and active participation in the sales process, including customer visits, product value proposition, pricing tactics, and customer support.
  • Act as the customer advocate interacting w/ functional partners including R&D, Program Management, Manufacturing, Finance, Customer Services, Quality and Regulatory
  • Assess and evaluate market and competition to help develop and deploy key messages and communication strategies for the product line with Downstream Marketing team
  • Lead team of product managers. Support and empower product managers to improve near- and long-term value of assigned product lines cradle-to-grave
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, Finance or equivalent; MBA preferred
Experience:
  • 4+ years in product management, or marketing leadership experience required, including experience managing a team and/or cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with analytical and/or industrial instrument industry including experience developing & launching new products in global businesses
  • Prior experience with air quality instrumentation and/or process gas instrumentation beneficial
  • Experience working in global environments strongly preferred, specifically including product development efforts with teams in US & China
  • Proven track record to balance multiple priorities and be results oriented to achieve tasks in a matrix environment
Skills & Abilities:
  • Adept at influencing and communicating with senior leaders, driving accountability to timelines and commitments from individuals junior and senior in the organization
  • Be comfortable making independent decisions and embracing change
  • Strong attention to detail and project management skills to lead timely results across multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to understand business strategies and prioritize activities appropriately
