Overview:

The Sr Manager - Services IT Parts Solutions role leads the strategy, initiatives and IT solutions/systems that unlock growth and productivity for the Freight and Transit parts businesses for Wabtec. This person will develop a cohesive strategy in close partnership with Transit Services and Freight Customer Service + Product Management teams. This role will be responsible for defining the roadmap, developing the programs, building the team, and managing execution.

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:


  • Partner with large cross functional team to develop the solution strategy for Wabtec Services businesses selling aftermarket parts. Vision is to provide common pillar solutions across all Wabtec business teams focused on commercial process (CPQ), order management, and eCommerce

  • Define and execute IT programs required to achieve strategic objectives

  • Build and grow IT team to support programs and strategy. Will include technical product management, program management, and architecture skillsets

  • Collaborate with large cross functional team to influence both functional business and IT teams to align activities to program objectives

  • Partner closely with Wabtec IT teams to achieve objectives and drive enterprise initiatives needed for our teams - especially the ERP, Data & Analytics, and Commercial IT teams

  • Lead initiatives to evolve and build standard pillar ecommerce capabilities across Wabtec. Manage ongoing operations and product management for existing Customer Web Center (CWC)

  • Lead initiatives supporting the commercial processes for parts sales (CPQ, pricing analytics)

  • Lead initiatives to automate and streamline order management processes across multiple ERP system - may include EDI, Distributed Order Management, other new opportunities

  • Identify new opportunities to grow Services Parts businesses and drive productivity for those business teams

  • Manage day-to-day execution of projects

  • Track requirements, stakeholder expectations, key milestones, testing progress, and project health and provide regular updates to stakeholders

  • Perform initial and final financial reviews, and ensure operational and project budgets are defined and adhered to
Eligibility Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferably in computer science or "STEM" majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant IT program/product management experience

  • Minimum 2 years of people management experience

  • Able & Willing to travel (10-30%)

  • Experience with ERP, order management, eCommerce and commercial processes.

  • Proven experience using project management methodologies to deliver business value and drive significant change across an organization

  • Experience managing IT budgets including budget, spend, and liquidations

  • Evangelizes concepts beyond current offerings and considers business model innovation (product, service and delivery innovations)

  • Strong business analysis, problem solving, and strategy development skills

  • Evangelizes new technology, predicts trends, and identifies new opportunities based on trends

  • Identifies the business and strategic needs, concerns, and desires for the value delivery capabilities of IT products
Leadership:

  • Adopts a holistic systems perspective. Empathizes with multiple points of view. Challenges program/product planning assumptions

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to help build effective strategy and processes

  • Excellent influencing, interpersonal and communications skills (both written and verbal) with all levels of an organization

  • Builds direct and "behind the scenes" support for ideas, and leverages chains of indirect Influence

  • Strong leadership skills with ability to influence outcomes and organize teams to attain shared goals
