Sr. Technical Product Manager - Performance

Job Overview:

This role is part of the rapidly growing Arm Infrastructure Line of Business where we enable deployment of Arm Neoverse cores in Cloud, Edge, 5G and Networking segments! To enable successful adoption, we need to identify what workloads and performance metrics are needed by the development community to run their applications on Arm platforms. Senior Technical Product Manager will drive various performance activities within the Performance and Solutions engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

Engage with key Hyperscalers, OEMs, ISV partners and understand their requirements.

Work with Performance architects and leads to analyze and prioritize these, and build a roadmap of activities for Solutions and Performance engineering teams.

Collaborate with Software Product teams to find opportunities for optimization in software, and with IP Product Managers to identify workloads that should be driving future architecture optimizations and product features.

Work with the Solutions engineering team to identify specific workloads and use-cases where performance and TCO advantage of Arm Infrastructure platforms can be showcased to external audiences.

You will help evangelize Arm solutions with Arm partners and wider industry, demonstrating both maturity of vision and technical leadership. Represent Arm's interests at industry forums and technology working groups with goal of enabling widespread adoption of Arm solutions

Required Skills and Experience :

• BS, MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (other degrees will be considered with relevant work experience)

• 10+ years of experience in Performance engineering with significant customer interaction and industry knowledge.
• Deep understanding of different aspects of performance engineering - benchmarking, metrics, configurations, tools, automation and how to interpret/investigate performance results.
• Solid understanding of how various system parameters - e.g. CPU, memory, IO, OS, compiler, libraries etc. impact workload performance.
• Industry knowledge of various applications and use-cases for Cloud/Edge server platforms, Cloud native development, CI/CD tools, virtualization, data-analytics, web-microservices.
• Ability to generate consistent, complete, and concise written specifications.

• Ability to build technical consensus across multiple teams and bring clarity to poorly defined and complex problems and reach a reasonable accommodation.

"Nice To Have" Skills:

• 5+ years of Product management experience and handling customer expectations.
• Good understanding of OSS development methodology, community interactions, release cycles and engagement techniques.
• Knowledge of Arm architecture and eco-system of software and hardware partners.

• Experience driving industry standards.
