Job Summary:
Nurses at LaRabida are focused on providing exceptional care for the children and in return develop outstanding skills to guide them through a continuum of basic patient care through more complex assignments, assessing the needs of acute and chronically ill children using effective communication with patients/families and team members. Our Nurses use the nursing process in a family-centered interdisciplinary context to coordinate care and achieve team goals.
- Plan, organize and deliver direct and indirect nursing care to children and adolescents with chronic illnesses and disabilities.
- Utilize evaluative judgment, specialized knowledge and professional level nursing skills in your care of your patients with a family centered approach.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of professionals who work daily to help raise possibilities for our patients.
Job Requirements:
What we need from you:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Nurses with Associates degrees will be considered if they have significant prior experience in pediatric care.
- Licensed to practice professional nursing in the State of Illinois required
- CPR required.
- Pediatric experience preferred
