Guy Carpenter is seeking candidates for the following position based in Minneapolis, MN.

Title: Senior Vice President - Treaty Broking

We will count on you to:
  • Depending on experience level, you'll be in a high level role on accounts supporting Senior Broker with clients.
  • Work on strategy presentations, conduct quantitative analysis and have strong critical thinking skills.
  • Work with accounting and contracts teams in document review and coordination
  • Respond to queries and concerns, resolving issues promptly to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Oversee production of documents and follow-up on contract documentation.
  • Advise on complex risks and negotiate transactions for clients.
  • Leverage broad knowledge of coverage lines, markets and other specialized products to improve client service.
  • Review contract documents.
  • Develop innovative solutions, respond to client queries, oversee account management, and provide assistance with pursuing opportunities.
  • Be able to travel between 20%-25% when required to clients locally or out of state.

We would like you to have:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills especially with Excel and PowerPoint
  • At least 10 years' insurance/reinsurance experience in an account or client management role
  • We'llalso consider Vice President-level candidates with at least 8+ years' insurance/reinsurance experience in an account or client management role
  • Reinsurance experience ideal but not required
  • Substantial insurance industry experience/expertise (reinsurer, insurance carrier or consulting firm)
  • Exposure to different insurance business units and strategy
  • Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
  • Comfortable working in interactive teams with brokers, clients, etc.
  • Proven experience leading day-to-day projects and making decisions to keep projects moving forward
  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Reinsurance experience
  • Primary underwriting or rate-making experience
  • Accounting and/or Ratings Agency Reporting Experience
  • Strong client relationships
