Overview

i3 is seeking a Systems Engineering Intern to join our team for a once in a lifetime opportunity developing a unique and cutting-edge ground test facility. This new capability is being developed by a group of leading defense industry contractors across the United States and the task is to construct the first of its kind Hypersonic Wind Tunnel Test Facility. This position is expected to last the duration of Summer 2023 and is contingent based upon funding.
Responsibilities

• Support systems engineering requirements database management, interface definition, process diagram management, and system health tracking planning.
• Support systems engineering efforts to capture hazard mitigation and verification artifact traces and preparations for Critical Design Reviews (CDRs).

Qualifications

• Education - junior or senior pursuing BS in engineering field from an accredited university.
• Experience with requirements management, verification planning/compliance.
• Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance as required.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Extensive experience in MS Excel, (i.e, conditional formatting, macro development).
• Experience with SolidWorks.
• Experience with Access/other databases or C++ coding.
• Prior experience with creating and maintaining databases for requirements, interfaces and/or components.
