Test Lab Engineering Intern

Position Purpose:

Support and work closely with the test lab engineering team in the design and development of component test fixtures.

Essential Functions:

• Help support test lab operations.
• Provide design support for test fixtures development.
• Create CAD models, exploded views, and drawings.
• Update test fixture drawings as needed and maintain them in Teamcenter.
• Perform other tasks and projects as assigned.

Physical Demands

• Frequent sitting and working at computer for extended periods of time.
• Occasional standing and walking.
• Occasional climbing stairs.
• Enjoying working "hands-on" in the test lab.

Environmental Conditions

• Exposure to office and manufacturing plant settings.

Behavioral Traits

• Ability to handle assignments and collaborate with team to complete tasks.
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally, and in-writing.
• Detail oriented.
• Self-motivated with good organization and time management skills.

Education and Training

• Enrolled student working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong academic foundation in statics and mechanics of material for use in component sizing.
• Preferred GPA 3.0/4.0

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong PC Skills (spreadsheets, word processing).
• Experience with CAD software, Solidworks preferred.
