About the Opportunity

This will be determined based upon the results of the interview process which considers the candidate's skills, work history, experience level, and other relevant qualifications.
This is a position in the Asset Operations group and is located at the General Office in Akron, Ohio 44308. The primary function of this position will be to support the development of FirstEnergy's Asset Health Center (AHC). The AHC tool is a software program that accepts input from multiple electronic sources and provides a health score. The AHC tool will be used by various business units to evaluate test results, maintenance history and overall health for transmission equipment including transformers, breakers, and batteries. The AHC tool will play a key role in operational, maintenance, and compliance programs across the organization. The role of the position is to input and maintain the integrity of equipment data, review and analyze maintenance results, and ensure completeness of the data passing across the interfaces to other systems. The position provides the successful candidate with growth opportunities in a number of technologies and activities related to energy delivery and asset health.
In addition to the Asset Health Center, the employee will support the transmission portfolio development and spare equipment tracking. Support for the portfolio includes monitoring and tracking of relay projects, equipment replacement, and obsolescence program development. The Asset Operations Group has responsibility for tracking and recommendation of the spare transmission substation equipment, equipment failure tracking as well as storage and purchase recommendations.
