Summary

Lead vision, strategy, planning and execution for OXO marketing to build a lasting lifestyle brand, enhance brand equity and help drive strong business results. Partner with SVP Marketing and broader leadership team to create a brand engine that makes everyday better every day by anticipating consumer needs and solving problems. Lead an empowered, collaborative marketing team that embodies our values and culture and delivers engaging omnichannel brand experiences and compelling product stories.

Marketing Strategy and Planning


  • Lead OXO marketing vision strategy and planning with the objectives of building a lifestyle brand and helping drive sell-through across all channels. Bring all marketing functions together to work in concert.

  • Set global brand and marketing standards, influence international regional planning and develop assets to support the vision. Develop and execute N.A. marketing strategies and plans to support business needs.

  • Ensure brand standards are met consistently via ongoing evolution of brand guidelines and oversight of marketing communications.

  • Develop rich and engaging brand strategies, stories and content to grow OXO into a lasting lifestyle brand and enhance consumer engagement.

  • Drive next level marketing for the brand's corporate responsibility communications, including 1% for the Planet. Help the team learn how to apply a corporate responsibility lens to all marketing efforts, from incorporating DEI standard practices to developing more sustainable packaging and PR kits.

  • Develop and drive integrated marketing campaigns to an array of consumer profiles, supporting brand communications and a range of products.

  • Provide direction for all marketing communications including brand and product storytelling, visual and written content, advertising, promotions, public relations, social media, packaging and beyond. Partner with the VP Direct-to-Consumer eCommerce to ensure strong email marketing, performance marketing and brand/product articulation on web site.


Marketing Execution

  • Build processes driving business success; enable economies of scale while staying flexible and ambitious.

  • Collaborate with product development and sales teams to build communication assets around product pipeline and strategic launches to meet product and retail needs and marketing timelines.

  • Identify Key Performance Indicators required to measure marketing performance and ensure team is leading to these metrics.

  • Develop marketing and promotional calendar in partnership with sales, product and ecommerce functions. Help prioritize multiple marketing requests.

  • Ensure that packaging development process is efficient and resources are utilized optimally to meet regulatory requirements in a well-communicated manner.

  • Partner with Legal to lead all trademark activities for the brand, including, evaluation of trademark renewals, execution of new trademarks, risk assessment.


Consumer Insights

  • Be the cultural catalyst to ensure the company thinks about the market in the context of the consumer and what they value. As their voice, consider all angles of how OXO fits into their lives.

  • Integrate existing consumer segmentation research into cross-functional and marketing specific plans.

  • Identify ongoing consumer marketing and brand research needs.

  • Develop next level plans for usage of existing data analytics, using marketing specific data (i.e., social media) and partnering with VP DTC eCommerce to use ecommerce data analytics.


Team Leadership & Management

  • Define organizational structure, staffing and external resource needs to achieve short and long term brand and business goals.

  • Create a vision for the marketing team and provide leadership to build effective cross-functional partnerships that generate results for the OXO brand, Housewares division, and global corporation. Ensure corporate, divisional and business unit priorities, goals and values are supported within Marketing team.

  • Develop and coach a marketing team to support a growing global organization. Develop individuals and team through growth attitude and exhibit and foster winning practices.

  • Cultivate, create, inspire and encourage a supportive learning environment to drive teams to apply their creativity, discretion, and judgment to do their best work.


Budgeting, Return on Investment, & Reporting

  • Accountable for budget, business and financial results in support of company financial objectives.

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecast updates to optimize marketing investments.

  • Develop analytics and data management capabilities needed to compare and maximize the effectiveness of on and offline marketing expenditures.

  • Provide monthly and quarterly metrics and performance achievement updates.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 15+ years of marketing experience.

  • 8+ years in a management role.

  • 8+ years' experience working for the premium consumer goods industry.

  • 3+ years of global marketing experience.

  • Experience leading external agency partners.

  • Technical aptitude. Be up-to-date on marketing tools, platforms and resources.

  • Successful past record building a rich brand experience and leading campaigns at $100M+ brands acclaimed for their strategic, creative and effective brand storytelling.

  • Success executing brand marketing campaigns across multiple channels to drive growth with a digital first attitude and a focus on tangible business results.

  • Demonstrated ability to partner and influence cross functionally to develop successful go-to-market plans and drive continual process improvement.

  • Past experience with successful talent management with ability to attract, cultivate, unify and retain top performers in a premier marketing organization.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with management, peers and team. Ability to formulate strategies, present ideas clearly and champion business thinking, consumer and marketing thinking and analyses.

  • Ability to engage with leadership team, cross functional leaders, corporate leadership and other divisional leaders on matters of strategy and execution.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with sku-intensive businesses with sub brands.

  • Strong personal connection to cooking and the home.
