Job Description SummaryThe History Department at Wake Forest University seeks a one year visiting assistant professor of American history for appointment beginning July 1, 2024. The job carries a 3-3 teaching load. In the fall semester, the VAP will teach three sections of HST 108, "Americas and the World," a course that offers a history of the Western hemisphere since 1500 with a transnational and thematic approach and which meets the college's general education requirements. In spring 2024 they will teach two sections of HST 108 and one course for history majors based on their specialty in American history.Job Description:Teaching undergraduates is central to Wake Forest's mission. Candidates should have teaching experience and Ph.D. in hand by August 2024; advanced ABD students will be considered as well.
