We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Associate to join a stellar organization. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse, contributing to the overall success of our organization. The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for various tasks related to the receiving, storing, and shipping of products, as well as maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

  • 100% on Site in Jessup, Maryland
  • Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm
  • $18 to $21 an hour depending on experience
Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:
  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments.
  • Organize and store products in designated locations within the warehouse.
  • Perform regular cycle counts and assist in periodic physical inventories.
Order Fulfillment:
  • Accurately pick and pack orders according to customer specifications.
  • Prepare and label shipments for outbound delivery.
  • Ensure timely and accurate order processing to meet customer demands.
Quality Control:
  • Inspect products for quality and report any discrepancies or damages.
  • Follow established procedures for handling and disposing of defective items.
Shipping and Receiving:
  • Prepare shipping documents and labels for outgoing shipments.
  • Coordinate with carriers for timely pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Assist in unloading and verifying incoming shipments.
Warehouse Organization:
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Dispose of packing materials and keep aisles and storage areas clear.
Communication:
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with other departments.
  • Report any issues or concerns related to inventory or warehouse operations.
Safety Compliance:
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment.
  • Participate in regular safety training sessions.
Equipment Operation:
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, and shrink-wrap machines.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any issues.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or similar role is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and order tracking.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines.
