JOB DESCRIPTION
Essential Job function:
- To weld, flange, swedge and corrugate drum body shells to schedule requirements, and specification standards.
- To set up and adjust drum body welder, flanger, swedger and corrugator to correct settings.
- To oil and grease on specified daily/weekly schedule.
- To check steel size and thickness of raw materials used on every bundle.
- To check quality of weld, flange, swedge and corrugator frequently.
- To change over three machines to produce different drums, as dictated by scheduled requirements.
- To carry out minor maintenance overhauls and parts changes.
- To count and report scrap body sheets.
- To keep work station clean and tidy.
- To fill out production reports as required.
- Will participate in Mauser Canada Ltd. Quality Program. Will identify problems and offer to help solve them.
- To carry out other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- Will assist the company in maintaining and improving efficiencies.
- Will assure all Quality requirements are met.
- Will participate in Lean and MPS initiatives.
